Sleep & Smiles
Autumn is a beautiful and easy baby even though taking care of her is not always easy. Jeremy and I are enjoying our moments with her and as parents together. She sleeps better during the day and night. They say sleeping through the night means 5 hours. She sleeps for about 4 to 4 1/2 hours a night, which helps me cope during the day. Nobody tells you when you are pregnant how hard it will be to hear your baby cry especially for the first few weeks. For the first few weeks Autumn just wanted to be held or she would cry and scream, which broke our hearts. She is now better able to lay on the floor for awhile without being held and entertain herself looking around and at lights. I am also able to put her in the crib without her coming unglued.
Jeremy and I are blessed to see her smile so early in her life. She has been smiling for weeks. She loves to hear her name and for us to hold her and talk to her. She also loves when we rub her cheek and her head of hair. Her happiest moments are after waking up from a nap, after eating, and after taking a warm bath. We’ve caught her several times smiling away even when we are not interacting with her. We will look her way and she will be smiling.
