Friends from Afar
Jeremy and I were blessed this last weekend to have some friends from Indiana visit. Not only were blessed that they came, but blessed to be able to have the resources to host them, a house and an extra bed. In the past living in an apartment this would have been more difficult.
Bob was Jeremy’s best man in our wedding. Bob and Jeanette got married a year and half after us. They were apart of our wedding and we were apart of theirs. It amazes me to see how people grow through marriage. I could see areas Jeremy and I have grown since we last saw this couple and areas they have grown as well.
The most exciting thing we did while they were here was to go to the Pacific Ocean. While stopped by the side of the road at Depoe Bay we were able to see a whale spouting water and jumping. This is something Jeremy and I have wanted to do since we came back from Michigan a couple of years ago. Jeremy, of course being from Tillamook, has seen the whales migrates for many years, but for the rest of us it was a novelty that I for one hope to see in the future. (Amazingly Jeremy didn’t have his camera out so there is no picture to post).
