Memorial Day
I was asked yesterday if I knew anyone in the service since it was Memorial Day. My sister-in-law is about to be deployed from Ft. Lewis, Washington to Tala far, Iraq. She is an assistant chaplain and is proud of what she does. I’m sure she won’t mind if I share this. She wrote to her family a few days ago, “I want everyone to know how much I love my job. I choose this life and was aware 17 September 2001, it was likely that I would end up in a war zone when I enlisted into the U.S. Army and have re-enlisted twice re-affirming my dedication to God, Country and family. I can’t think of a job that sets a finer example to my daughters.”
I think of those words and what better thing can you do with your life than something for a greater cause than yourself. Her dedication is awe inspiring. Please pray with our family as Caroline goes out to Iraq. Please also pray for my brother and their two girls while she is gone.

Wow! How young are you sister-in-laws children now? I would have a hard time leaving my family. She is surely sacraficing alot. Tell her I thank her.
